From time to time, people have said to me that students today have 'changed.'  It has been suggested that children today have a short attention span due to technological changes.  It is true that the modern student needs to be taught differently, and a lot of that is due to technology.  But technology has been a great benefit to teaching, learning and in turn life.  You are reading this blog thanks to technology.  We can disperse information faster and more efficiently today.  As technology continues to evolve, it will change teaching and learning even more.  It does not replace the "basics" it only enhances the teaching of the "basics."  Steve Jobs was great friend of education.  He believed technological advancments would improve our lives in all areas, including education.  At one point, he felt Apple would be an 'education' company.  RIP
